Larry told us about the Hospital Day coming up this Sunday at the Shrine Hospital in Lexington KY and about the Shrine Arch Ceremony coming up in October in Nashville. The Hillsboro Lodge is having their annual yard sale and BBQ on June 5th, 6th, and 7th and hope to have another great turn out. Our Dinner Dance (renamed the Harvest Dance) was a success and we appreciate all those who attended. It has been decided to have refreshments next month starting at 6:30, before the meeting, and forego the after meeting refreshments so that we may leave earlier. Because of an Initiation at our January meeting there will be a practice at 6:00 and refreshments will be between the practice and the meeting.

October 27, 2007 Official Visit
Our Official Visit was held at the Hillsboro Lodge. Our Lodge brothers have worked very hard on their new lodge and although they have not gotten all their plans completed, the Lodge is beautiful. We sincerely appreciated being able to hold our banquet and meeting there. Be sure to look at the new photos, courtesy of Peggy, that have been added to our Photos page. The banquet, featuring brisket, was catered by the award winning Weddingtons of Spice Boys BBQ and was enjoyed by about 100 members and visitors before the meeting began. The theme of the evening was frogs and Noah's Ark animals. After the meeting everyone was treated to a "froggy bag" containing snacks to enjoy on the way home. We were honored to have so many friends come to our Official Visit and banquet.

They have held their last meeting in their old quarters and are now in their new building, which is the location of the BBQ & Yard Sale.
